The Nurse Aide Program comprises a total of 90 hours of training: 50 hours of lecture and 40 hours of clinical activities at a nursing home: South Mountain Nursing Home in Union, New Jersey. We offer morning sessions Monday thru Thursday 9 a.m.- 2 p.m.. (See schedule), Evening sessions: Monday thru Thursday 5 p.m.- 10 p.m. (See schedule), and Weekend sessions Saturdays and Sundays 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Our weekday sessions last six weeks while weekend sessions run up to eight weeks. The total cost of the program is $912.00 and the payment of this amount is expected to be made in the following terms:

$25.00 at the time of application
$75.00 at the time of registration
$325.00 the first day of class

The balance of $487.00 will be deferred over six or eight week period of the program. Any payments must be made only in (MONEY ORDER) form. We do not accept cash, checks, or credit cards. N.B. The total amount must be paid in full before the date of the final exam.

In addition to the fees required by the school, students should know that:
2 money orders, one for $76.00 and one for $40.00 are required at the completion of the program to cover A.S.I. skill, and written exams. The school schedules the skill exam, and the student upon reception of a passing skill exam decides on the date to take the written exam. Candidate should understand that only after passing the written Exam, and having their fingerprints cleared, they will be issued a C.N.A. license.

The book fee (textbook: $45 and workbook: $25 at the school store)  is not included in the total cost of the program. White uniforms are required for clinical. A red jacket rented at the school ($10.00/session & $10.00 security) is also required to attend clinical activities. Student must have completed a physical exam with a Two Step PPD before attending clinical sessions.

To be admitted in the C.N.A program program candidate must show (his or her) ability to read English. In the absence of the High School Equivalency/GED or its equivalent in education done overseas candidate will be required to sign a statement acknowledging  the completion of the required level of education or pass a TABE test.
